Table of Content+
Use a computer browser to process a TikTok link and save the result to a folder you choose. You do not need to install an extension to follow this workflow.
Copying the Correct Address
Open the specific post before copying the address from the browser bar. If you are still on a profile or search page, select the video first. Check that you are copying the link to the content you want to save.
If the link is sent from your phone, send only the address you need using a method you trust. Avoid entering account details or personal information into the download field.
Processing and Choosing a File
Open SnapTik or the dedicated tool for the type of result you need.
Paste the link using the browser menu or a keyboard shortcut.
Wait for the result, check the preview, then choose an available format.
Choose a save location if the browser asks for one.
Open the download list to see the status and open completed files.
Managing the Save Location
In Chrome, open More → Downloads. Find the file, then use Show in folder to view its actual location. Browser download settings determine whether files go directly to the default location or ask for a folder first.
On Windows, manage the result through File Explorer; on Mac, use Finder. After the download finishes, you can create a folder for each project and move video, audio, and images there. Deleting an item from download history does not always delete the saved file.
Opening Video, Audio, and ZIP Files
Use a media player for video or audio, an image app for photos, and an archive manager for ZIP files. A ZIP must be extracted before its contents can be used as separate image files.
If an app does not recognize the format, check the download-result label and file extension. Do not run an unexpected program file when your goal was only to download a video or image.
If the Browser Blocks the Download
Read the browser message and check the source before continuing. Do not disable all browser protection to force a file through. If the result does not match the media type you selected, cancel it and report the problem.
For a connection problem or expired result, process the post link again. If the original content has been deleted, a new request may still not produce a file.
